Having a business on the internet seems to be the wave
of the future,
the only drawback is there is no personal contact
with my customers. Because of this, I felt it important to share a little about myself with you as well as some of the
other projects in my studio.
Most of my younger years were spent in the
province of Ontario
with my Dad, Mom and older brother.
We lived in the very small town of Stittsville, this is where I also have my fondest memories.
From a very young age, I was always encouraged
to express myself,
and to have no fear of what others may think.
With these words instilled in me, my creative energy
was boundless. When I was about 10 years old, I actually tried to sell graph paper pictures that had all the little
squares coloured in, in all sorts of great designs.
Well, I thought I really had something wonderful,
but I was shot down by the end of the block. Needless to say I was disappointed, but my parents enjoyed them, and
it didn't stop me from trying.
I have changed mediums numerous times , always
finding
myself with a paint brush in hand. Perhaps because my
Mom
is an artist, and I have seen the versatility of
the art, I can't help but to keep coming back to it. I look at objects with the belief that
anything with a surface can be painted and
it opens up so many possibilities, everything has potential if you look for it.
I have been interested in starting my own business for
some time now, and I am excited to finally have reached that goal.
Coming up with the name of Canadian Tumbleweeds was
the
easy part, it is very befitting for me and hopefully
one that visitors to my web site will remember.
I now find myself settled once again in Ontario,
with a family of my own,
and the ability to pursue my dreams.
This province is absolutely beautiful, and when
combined with all of the energy I have at home with me, I am truly inspired.
I would like to take this chance to express my most
heartfelt
thank-yous to everyone in my life, especially to
Mom and Dad for all of your ongoing
love, support,
and continous 'unbiased' compliments.
Peter and Angie for welcoming
me into your life with open arms, and an open mind.
Nichole and Dan, for
always being there, and for coming out here! You were the extra push that I needed.
Jacob and Julia,
your love and acceptance has meant the
world to me.
Seeing life, through your eyes, is priceless.
Christopher,
your endless love, understanding and commitment
to our happiness
has truly enabled my dreams to come true.
Thanks too for putting up with all of my supplies, in
all the wrong places!
I would also like to thank all the viewers,
for visiting
Canadian Tumbleweeds!

The water theme pictures are painted on the walls
in our basement, this is an ongoing project that I
am also working on.
